Master in Computer Science
I'm a senior frontend developer in Aarhus. I turn business requirements into solutions people can use, lead projects from idea to production, and enjoy helping newcomers grow their skills. My day-to-day is React, with the framework that goes with it: Next.js.
My background is in Computer Science, with a master's degree specialised in Artificial Intelligence from Reykjavik University. My master's research led to a paper on how artificial musicians can communicate with each other, and this site is a working demonstration of it.
Salling Group runs some of Denmark's best-known retail brands. Since 2020 I have worked on the customer-facing e-commerce frontends of Bilka (bilka.dk), føtex (foetex.dk) and BR (br.dk). My role has grown steadily, from building features, to running complex ones, to leading people, and now to leading projects while staying hands-on.
Joined to help build the e-commerce frontends of Bilka, føtex and BR: the shops where customers browse, compare and buy.
Promoted after a year. I took on more responsibility: running complex features from start to finish, and becoming a key player in the continuous improvement of the e-commerce platforms.
A step into leadership, with real responsibility for the people in my team. I helped shape their future and growth, and learned what it takes to lead peers well.
I chose a more hands-on role again, back in the code, while managing the operation of the projects I work on. I use my skills to lead projects and to work with Vue, React, React Native, Nuxt, Next.js and Expo.

My master's research (2016 to 2017). In an existing platform, musical software agents could only talk to a central conductor. The paper proposes a model where they also talk to each other, negotiating and coordinating the way the musicians of a jazz quartet do, with standard agent protocols.
When I'm not at the keyboard I'm passionate about music, films and weight lifting. That passion is also why this site has a jazz band in it.
